About AquariumTested

An aquarium is a life-support system. Filters have to cope with the bioload, heaters must hold a stable temperature, lighting must suit the plants or corals, and the tank itself must be big enough for the animals it holds. AquariumTested sizes equipment to the tank and compares products on the specs that matter.

We cover tanks and stands, filtration, heating and flow, lighting, water testing, aquascaping and reef equipment. General pet supplies belong to PetCriteria, and pools to PoolTested. We never recommend tanks too small for the species kept in them.
